Borealis at the 2026 Arctic Circle Assembly

Borealis Data Center will join the 2026 Arctic Circle Assembly, taking place on October 8–10 at Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre in Reykjavík. The Assembly brings together governments, Indigenous communities, businesses, researchers, environmental organizations, and policymakers for international dialogue on the future of the Arctic.

As environmental and socioeconomic conditions across the region continue to change, access to reliable data and resilient digital infrastructure is becoming increasingly important. The Assembly will provide a platform for examining how research, technology, policy, and industry can work together to support climate adaptation, regional development, safety, and informed decision-making.

Bergþóra will join the session “Arctic Data Futures: AI, Risk Intelligence and Resilience,” organized by Kajaani University of Applied Sciences. The panel will explore how AI, high-performance computing, climate and ocean modelling, simulations, and sustainable data centre infrastructure can transform complex Arctic data into practical insights.

Bringing experience from Iceland’s renewable-powered data centre sector, Bergþóra will contribute a perspective that connects infrastructure, policy, business, and long-term regional resilience.
