Etix Everywhere Borealis & Kaiser Global partnership

Reykjavik & New York – Nov. 23, 2020 – Kaiser Global Development Group LLC and Etix Everywhere Borealis Data Centers are pleased to announce they have entered into a strategic partnership. The partnership combines Kaiser’s expertise in developing cooperative research public-private relationships and Etix’ carbon-neutral high performance computing and artificial intelligence infrastructure.

High performance computing  (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI) play an increasingly important role in scientific discovery, innovation, and economic competitiveness. Governments, industry, and academia recognize their essential role as critical infrastructure within modern economies. The Kaiser-Etix partnership opens new markets and brings together strong skills in high-end computing infrastructure and the building of research coalitions addressing frontier challenges in energy, space, biotech, and advanced computing.
“The Kaiser-Etix partnership is a powerful combination. Etix’ experience in developing high-end sustainable computing centers, along with key partners in national infrastructure, data centre engineering, and international computing manufacturers, provide a foundation for delivering sustainable carbon-free solutions to customers,” said Bjorn Brynjulfsson, CEO of Etix Everywhere Borealis. “With our green infrastructure and Kaiser’s research partners, our partnership delivers critical components to HPC users and help them reach their sustainability goals.”
Bill Patrowicz, CEO of Kaiser Global also notes, “This is a great opportunity to attract foreign direct investment and deep tech interests into Iceland while creating opportunities for Iceland to showcase its talents internationally. Our coalition partners are developing exponential advancements in clean energy, space, commerce, navigating the new Arctic, and so much more. We are proud to be a part of this clean use of clean energy to improve the human condition and to advance better use of our natural resources.”
Kaiser’s additional plans are to open an Icelandic Institute for Discovery in 2021 and to develop an Icelandic Advanced Computing Park by 2023. Etix will be the infrastructure partner for these two initiatives.
