Early last month, Borealis Data Center welcomed Árdís Hrafnsdóttir as its new Director of Compliance. 

Árdís brings extensive experience in compliance, legal affairs, and project management, having held key roles in industries such as real estate and aviation. Most recently, she served as Project Manager at Icelandair’s Project Delivery Center, where she led cross-functional projects to drive process, software, and systems improvements. She also served as a Compliance Manager at Eik fasteignafélag, where she led critical initiatives to strengthen regulatory compliance. Árdís holds a BsC in Business Law from Bifröst University in Iceland and a masters in European Business Law from Lund University in Sweden. 

In this role, Árdís will lead compliance initiatives and support legal affairs. Árdís's will focus on maintaining the company’s high standards bolstered by its ISO 27001/17/18 certifications and driving ongoing compliance strategies while supporting the organization’s continued growth and maturity.

Her expertise in navigating complex regulatory landscapes and her commitment to operational excellence has already made Árdís a valuable addition to the team.
